Direct Energy is not customer oriented.
my mom lives in west texas and the heat has been in the 100's for days now.last week it was 102 and the direct energy disconnected my moms electricity due to late payment (although bill states due 6/20/11).
This happened at 130 pm and she tried to make calls but.... all her services are connected to a provider including her land line. so no power and her cell was not charged...i had to make a trip over there to use my cell phone and try to get things back, but i was not on her account. after all that we got the payment in by 2, but it was not processed till after 2 which meant a policy of 24 hr reconnection.
i explained she was 80 yrs old, disabled and needed it sooner... but everyone i talked to said "policy proceedures". she stayed in the house at 102 degrees until noon the next day... i have since switched companies...
to one with compassion.Shame on you Direct Energy!!!!!!
