I called direct energy on May 16th to take a look at my furnace and give me a quote to repair charges was agreed at $99.00 as no technician called from home while I was at work, I called home and found out that the technician was almost finished repairing without calling me with a quote, when I spoke he told me he thought I had a protection plan and it was too late as he has replaced the control
valve and will know the price only when he finishes installing and gets back to his van. He then handed in a bill for $906 that was the inspection for $99.00 installation charges $129.00 and the part a whooping $564 my mother singed his form. Now the technician is claiming that I gave him the go ahead to repair, not knowing how much it is going to cost. That was the reason I called for a quote,
if it was too much I wanted to wait till the summer is over. called direct energy almost everyday since mY18th none called until a week ago and they claim the technician's story. I wrote to Enbridge who sent an automated email saying will be responded in 48 hours now sent me a bill for 993 dollars. where do I go from here, please someone help? I have no way of paying this huge bill. another competitor company not knowing the whole story sent me an estimate
to repair the same for $500 inclusive all taxes and labour.
Monetary Loss: $906.
