Direct Energy - Unethical company puts variable rates in tiny print then charges triple

Our bill has been skyrocketing over the past year and change. Contacted them repeatedly to ask why our bill was so high, were given no good information. Finally told we're on a variable rate plan instead of fixed, which is THREE TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE than what we used to be on. Apparently there was some tiny print in something they mailed me saying if I didn't renew my contract I'd be placed on the variable rate plan. I've been paying them more than $700 for the last three months and owe them nearly a grand. Shame on you, Direct Energy. There's a class action lawsuit against them for this very practice. Unethical and abusive toward consumers.
